Granny vs. Mercedes

I wanted to look back at some pictures taken back in my university years but I seem to have lost them.

It was near 8:30 and my friend reminded me that the beauty pageant was coming on. I had to watch this. One of my best friend's ex, Daisy, was on it and I wanted to see how she would fare against the other girls. There was a category call Miss Vitality where the 12 contestants had to run an obstacle course and climb a wall. The contestant with the lowest time was declared Miss Vitality. Daisy, #11, came in 2nd, 1 second away from first. It was so tense. I was cheering for her but unfortunately, there was only one award for each category. In the end, she won nothing, which was a little disappointing but in the end it was still fun watching someone I knew in a competition.

Have you ever believed in Santa? I don't recall ever doing so. As far as I can remember, when my parents took me to sit on Santa's lap, I only did so to get the candy cane. I was never prepared to tell Santa what I wanted. Usually, whenever Santa asked me what I wanted, I just made something up like, "I want Lego", to which he would reply, "Well, Santa is very busy this year, but you be a good boy and blah blah blah...". I think that my disbelief in Santa came from not being told about him by my parents. I only learned about Santa from cartoons and Christmas carols which were very unconvincing.

Anyways, I remembered this picture when I thought about Santa.
